SERVEONE, the Number 1 MRO (maintenance, repair, and operation) company (CEO: Kim Dong-chul) invited 13 of its best people from its staff from the Vietnam subsidiary to company headquarters for the “SERVEONE Vietnam Incentive Trip in Seoul” program that ran from February 5 until the 10th. Staff members who showed the best performance in customer sales and purchase management in the past year were invited to visit SERVEONE headquarters in Gwanghwamun, Seoul and key facilities of the company, such as the logistics hub in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do. They also participated in diverse competency-enhancing training programs that share the core values of SERVEONE and cultural understanding workshops, etc. SERVEONE entered the Vietnamese market by establishing a logistics hub center in Haiphong, a major industrial city in Northern Vietnam, in 2014. Now it has 166 members on its staff, including 153 local staff members and 13 expatriates working in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City subsidiaries. The Vietnam subsidiary reached annual sales of KRW 320 billion last year, which is a staggering 30 times growth from KRW 9.8 billion in 2015. It is actively serving about 50 corporate customers, in which include local international corporations and Vietnamese businesses, as well as Korean companies that made inroads to overseas markets, such as key affiliated companies of LG, Kolon, Lock and Lock, etc., in Chang Che Industrial Complex in Haiphong, Vietnam. SERVEONE plans to expand its business bases to Da Nang in Central Vietnam to provide MRO solutions throughout Vietnam. Bui Ngoc Cuang from the Vietnam subsidiary, who participated in this program, said that “the visit to the headquarters increased our pride in working for the No. 1 MRO specialist company in Asia.” Cuang explained that “Meeting Korean colleagues in person to communicate and experience their culture helped us to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s vision.” According to a personnel member from SERVEONE, “The average age of the Vietnam subsidiary is 30. We had a young group of staff from Vietnam visiting Korea this time, all in their 20s or 30s. They are the crucial members who will lead the industry and market of Vietnam that is growing at a fast pace.” This member then added, “I hope it was a meaningful time for them as a member of the SERVEONE family who contributed to the growth of the Vietnam subsidiary with their strong sense of responsibility and diligence.” SERVEONE became the first MRO company to establish an overseas subsidiary and logistics hub in Nanjing, China, and now operates in six countries, including the U.S., European countries, Indonesia, and Vietnam. As of 2022, sales from overseas subsidiaries grew to take up about 35% (KRW 1.9 trillion) of the entire annual sales of SERVEONE (KRW 5.4 trillion). SERVEONE plans to increase its communication with global subsidiaries and overseas staff and expand its competency-enhancing programs.
